Equipment

  • Meat Thermometer
  • 10-Inch Skillet

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops
  • ½ Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • Chopped Green Onions optional
  • White Sesame Seeds optional

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Add the pork chops to the bowl, ensuring they are fully or nearly fully submerged in the marinade.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Heat a pan to medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and white sesame seeds, if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For maximum flavor, marinate the meat overnight (you can keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days).
  • Leftover pork chops can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Don’t overcook—use a thermometer and pull the meat at 145°F for juicy chops.
  • Prefer a sweeter taste? Add extra honey or swap it with brown sugar.
  • Want some heat? Mix in a little sriracha or crushed red pepper to the marinade.
