This skinny moscow mule made with strawberries and fresh mint is so light and refreshing – the perfect cocktail for summer or your holiday parties. These will be the hit of the party!

Skinny Moscow Mule

Traditional moscow mules are made from vodka, ginger beer, and lime. They are usually served in a cooper mug – while its not necessary- it makes it so much more fun.

You may be wondering what makes a skinny moscow mule skinny? The name can be deceiving but ginger beer is actually more similar to ginger ale than it is beer – which means it is high in added sugar.

In this recipe we use a “light” (or sugar free if you are keto or low carb) ginger beer in place of traditional ginger beer. It is just as delicious!

Skinny Strawberry Mint Moscow Mule Ingredients

  • 2 oz of vodka – Go for quality here. Tito’s is great brand.
  • Light or Sugar Free Ginger Beer – You have a few options here:
    • Q-Mixers Light Ginger Beer – Available in most stores and on Amazon.
    • Fever Tree Light Ginger Beer. – Available in most stores and on Amazon.
    • Zevia Ginger Beer. For keto or low carb. Sugar free and sweetened with Stevia. I was not able to find this in local stores but it is on Amazon.
    • Goslings Diet Ginger Beer. For Keto or low carb. This does have artificial sweeteners so this is personal preference if you consume those or not. Available in most stores and on Amazon.
    • Zevia Ginger Ale. For keto or low carb. This is obviously ginger ale and not ginger beer but it is sweetened with stevia which I recommend over artificial sweeteners. Available in most stores and on Amazon.
  • 1/2 lime – juiced
  • 3 fresh sliced strawberries
  • Pinch of mint leaves
  • 1 oz of light/sugar free lemonade – I personally love True Lemon. Your local grocery store should have prepared options as well.

Moscow Mule Cooper Mugs

Drinking moscow mules out of cooper cups is just so much fun! Sure any glass will do – put if you are looking to take your moscow mules to the next level I recommend investing in a set of cooper mugs.

I love this set of four cooper mugs which also includes a cooper measuring jigger and cooper straws. Cheers!
