Hiit on the treadmill is a great way to switch up your workout routine, lose weight, and burn fat.
The treadmill aka the “dreadmill’ can get a bad rap. And I totally get why. BORING!
I am here to tell you that the treadmill does not have to be boring – and you do not have to spend hours at a time running in monotony.
I believe that the secret to a super effective and dare I say it – FUN – workout on the treadmill is incorporating hiit or interval training.
HIIT or high-intensity interval training is a type of training in which you alternate short, high-intensity bursts of intervals with longer and slower intervals to recover.
Does HIIT on a treadmill burn fat?
Studies have shown that HIIT can actually burn more fat in a shorter amount of time and promote weight loss. You also continue to burn calories even after your workout. This is known as the “afterburn” – or excess post-exercise energy consumption.
Is HIIT on a treadmill effective?
Doing HIIT on a treadmill is a great option because it allows you to control the speed and incline as you choose.
This allows for a more effective workout in a shorter period of time.
