If you’re a fan of champagne, you’re going to be a huge fan of this Blackberry Champagne mule recipe. It’s not only loaded down with great flavor but it’s really quite a stunning drink as well. I’m also obsessed with this simple drink because it’s only sweetened from the natural sugars from the blackberries.

Since this blackberry drink only takes a short amount of time to make, you can easily impress your friends with your bartender skills by creating this fresh and on the spot for them once they arrive.

And if you’re a preparer like I am, you can easily make up this drink recipe up to 2 days in advance, too. Because when you’re looking for a way to get ahead of the game to focus on living in the moment, any recipe that you can prep and make in advance is great!

What makes a mule a mule drink?

The combination of vodka and mint is what helps to classify this drink as a mule drink. If you’re familiar with mule cocktails and recipes, you might also know that most are served in copper mugs, too. Since this mule recipe is combined with champagne, we went a more sophisticated route and decided to use a fancy class for this tasty drink. (but you can totally use a copper mug, too!)

Is Moscow Mule a girl drink?

It’s an “everyone” drink! This is what makes it so good. The fresh blueberries and mint give it a nice and light taste while the added vodka and champagne bring on that little extra kick that everyone tends to enjoy.

You can also change up the perception of this drink by changing up the way you serve it as well. A copper mug might feel a bit more “manly” and make it so everyone can enjoy it without worry.

Can you change up the flavor of this champagne mule beverage?

You bet. While I’m a huge fan of blackberries for this drink recipe, you can easily swap them out for another type of fruit. Some other great choices could be raspberries, strawberries, or even possibly blueberries as well.

If you’re looking to vary up the drink recipe this just gives you even more reason to try new ingredients and taste-test them all. Perks of being the chef, right?

Do you serve this Blackberry Champagne Mule over ice?

Absolutely. This drink is meant to be served so filling your cup half-way full of ice is key to getting the perfect cool temperature to help enhance the flavors. If you’re not a fan of ice in your drinks, I would recommend keeping this chilled in the fridge for several hours, right up to when you’re ready to serve.
