Ingredients for Fruit Salad
You Will Need
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Grapes
- Blackberries
- Plain Greek Yogurt
- Powdered Swerve
- Vanilla Extract
- Orange – juiced
- Whipped Cream Cheese
Substitutions
Fruit – This recipe is so versatile. You can use any mixture of fruit that you like. I like sticking with the red and blue colored fruits for a patriotic dish on 4th of July and Memorial Day.
Greek Yogurt – For the greek yogurt I like using Fage 0% but feel free to experiment with your favorite yogurt. Siggi’s is great also. If you use a yogurt that is already sweetened then you cut back or eliminate the added sweetener.
Swerve – Swerve can be substituted with your favorite sweetener. Honey, monk fruit, and maple syrup are all great options to keep this refined sugar free.
How To Make a Fruit Salad With Yogurt
This fruit salad made with yogurt is super easy to make.
- Chop strawberries (and grapes if you have littles!) into bite size pieces and add all fruit to a large bowl.
- Make the greek yogurt dressing by whisking together the greek yogurt, powdered swerve, vanilla extract, whipped cream cheese, and the juice of half an orange.
- Add dressing to the bowl of fruit, mix well, and enjoy!
How To Serve Fruit Salad with Greek Yogurt
Do not mix the dressing with the fruit salad ahead of time. It is fine to make the dressing ahead and store it on a separate container. Once you mix the greek yogurt dressing and fruit – it will become soupy and liquidy after about a day.
If you are not serving this fruit salad recipe to a group and saving it for smaller portions I recommend that you store the dressing separately and only mix it with the fruit right before you eat it.
