Ingredient Notes
Ground Beef: Lean ground beef will give you that meaty filling without all the grease and fat.
Pickles: Sliced dill pickles will add an extra crunch and flavors to the sliders just like the sandwich does.
Greek Yogurt: For the homemade sauce, Greek yogurt is used to give it that creamy and healthier base.
Kings Hawaiian Rolls: Hawaiian rolls are a staple ingredient for sliders. The sweet rolls give you that soft and filling bread that’s used instead of buns.
Cheese: Sliced cheddar cheese will give the Big Mac sliders extra flavor and help act as a glue for the meaty filling.

Here are quick visual instructions. Be sure to check out the full instructions with exact ingredients in the printable recipe card below.

Step 1: Whisk all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside. In a medium skillet, combine the ground beef, chopped onions, and seasoned salt. Cook over medium heat until the beef is thoroughly cooked and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat and set the beef mixture aside.

Step 2: Slice the Hawaiian Sweet Rolls horizontally, keeping them connected, and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish. Spread the prepared sauce onto the bottom half of the rolls.

Step 3: Evenly distribute the cooked beef mixture over the sauce.

Step 4: Layer the cheddar cheese slices and dill pickle slices on top of the beef.

Step 5: Place the top half of the rolls over the pickles. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 6: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly golden. Separate and serve.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
The sliders are easily customizable so you can add your favorite sandwich toppings or go with more or less of the cheese, sauce, or pickles.
It’s important that you evenly spread the ground beef onto the bottom of the sliders. This will help the cheese melt through and disperse the heat evenly.
Make the sauce ahead of time and store it in the fridge. You can use the sauce for other sandwich inspired recipes like these Big Mac quesadillas, Big Mac bowls, Big Mac wraps, or for a Big Mac casserole.

You can store them for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Prep everything ahead of time and then assemble the sliders when you’re ready to bake and serve.
If you’re short on time or don’t want to make the Big Mac sauce, you can substitute thousand island dressing. I highly recommend making the homemade sauce though because using the dressing won’t be as delicious.
Lean ground beef will give the sliders the best flavor. You can use ground turkey or plant-based beef but it will change the flavor of the sliders.
